This month, our Paralegal Shannon bravely leapt out of a plane in order to raise money for LawWorks. LawWorks is an incredible charity dedicated to enabling access to justice through free legal advice. Without access to these legal services, many felt as though they would have nowhere else to go. FDM Solicitors wanted to raise funds to support the continuation of the great work that LawWorks does.
Shannon is a Paralegal working in the Housing Disrepair department. She diligently works on cases for clients who have been subject to housing disrepair, in circumstances where social housing landlords have failed to act.
She jumped at the opportunity to support the FDM Solicitors-sponsored skydive on LawWorks’ 25th anniversary. Shannon has been enthusiastic about helping others her whole career and raised £448 for this event.
The 14,000ft Descent
Though she found the experience nerve-wracking, Shannon is proud to have conquered her fears and states, “It’s changed my attitude towards scary things”..
The plummet back to the ground lasted less than 5 minutes. Shannon describes the 120mph fall as one of the best moments of her life.
Shannon has since looked into becoming a member at the skydiving centre and now foresees this as a possible regular hobby for the future.
Presently back at FDM, Shannon expresses her deepest gratitude to everyone who donated to help her reach her goal and further congratulates LawWorks for their continued and committed efforts in providing legal services for those in need of them.
